Arav is derived from the sanskrit word Ara which is a heavenly river that provides bliss and peace.

Most of the time, i have difficulty introducing Arav, kids get the name real fast but it's the adults who assume it to be something else.

Some of the names that i get back when i say ,"this is Arav":

a) Arif?
b)Arun?
c)Aarab?
d)Asif?

My mom, well she used to call him Aaro..(?!)
